Next you construct a phrase that is designed to help you focus on your issue. Such as "Even though I have this pain in my head, I thoroughly and completely love, accept and forgive myself." Or, "Even though I am angry that my spouse doesn't listen to me, I thoroughly and completely love, accept and forgive myself."


Now before you start, ask yourself: On a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being the worst, how sever is your pain? Give it a number. 


Next you will tap FIRMLY over and over on the karate chop point while saying the phrase three times. It doesn't matter which hand you use. 


After you have done this, shorten the long phrase to just a reminder word or phrase like "pain" or "anger." 


​Now you are going to say the reminder phrase and think about how your pain or anger feels each time you tap. Here are the points you are going to tap on:  

Start at the top of the head, work your way don, and end with the top of the head again. 


The exact location of the spots are: 


Top of head

Inner brow

Corner of eye

Under eye

Under nose

Above chin

Collarbone

Under arm

Inside wrists

Top of head


Tapping should be done with two fingers together, such as the index and middle fingers together. Tapping should be done firmly, but not hard enough to hurt yourself. Tapping should be done five to seven times on each spot before moving to the next spot. Say the reminder phrase while you tap and think about your pain. You may tap more than seven times, but no less. 


After you have completed one round, check in to see what number your pain is at. Has it gone down? If it's not completely gone, do another round. You can use the same phrase, but after using it a couple of times, change to a different phrase that also makes sense to you and seems to apply to the situation.

Read an example of how I reduced my pain from Degenerative Disc Disease by using the AccuBalancing Technique on myself. Blog entry - "My Body Wants to Support Me with Good Health." 


The first step is to locate the Karate Chop Point. It is located on the midpoint of hte fleshy part of the hand between the wrist and the bottom of the little pinky finger. Below is a picture of where it is.



The AccuBalancing Technique is a method for reducing physical pain or emotional issues. It words by balancing the body's energy system. All negative emotions create an imbalance the energy system, and by tapping on certain accupressure points, this balance can be restored.
